The Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research at the University of Pennsylvania will hold its third biennial conference, One Child, Many Hands: A Multidisciplinary Conference on Child Welfare, June 3-5, 2009 in Philadelphia.  This year’s theme is “A Time for a Change.”

One Child, Many Hands: A Multidisciplinary Conference on Child Welfare is announcing a Call for Presentations. 
Child welfare practitioners, policy-makers, researchers, consumers,
educators and trainers are encouraged to submit proposed presentations
which advance the field of child welfare from a multidisciplinary
perspective.

Proposals need to include a cover sheet, maximum 25 word abstract, and maximum 500 word overview. Cover sheets and criteria for submission and review can be found here. The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2008.

Far be it from me to cast the first stone, but if I were the Queen of the World, one of my first royal acts would be to get the baby girl known as "Dannielynn" into a loving adoptive home, followed in short order by the Federline boys.
