I think Bill Betzen's Adoption Agency Selection Checklist is a great place to start.
Finding an ethical agency or attorney.
This is off the cuff answers, I am sure other's will have a much more efficiant list.
Chances are you will have a lot of homework to do in order to truely find the most ethical agency or attorney available in your area.
First I would write down all the ethical questions you want to have be your guide.
Next I would make a list of who you want to call, and look them up online, read thier website intro's and pages specific to what you are interested in.
Following the webpages, I would call each place and ask questions, it wouldnt hurt to ask both as an -aparent AND (later) disguised as an expectant mother (I've heard of people doing this, but have yet to try it, Im a terrible actor).
Before you sign with anybody, make sure you have asked all of your questions, interview them if you need to. Find thier website, as well as any other site they are linked to (who do they support out there? are there any sister companies, and what are thier standards?)
