Are there any good books about just giving it all up and moving on? My open adoption experience ended badly and I’m in therapy but I need a good book as well. Thanks
Any good books about dealing with an open adoption gone bad?

What role do you have in the relationship…first parent, adoptive parent, first family member, etc?
I’d be interested in books along these lines, too–I’m a first parent.
I had been on the same quest, and did not have much luck; the closest one I can think of is called “The open adoption experience” by authors Lois Ruskai Melina and Sharon Kaplan Roszia. It is an older book and maybe there is something new out there now. My experience has been that it is really difficult to find much out there that assists First Parents with so many of the difficult and agonizing issues that come up with adoption-in regards to books, as well as good therapy or help. There are some support networks out there such as Concerned United Birthparents-but you may find all the collective grief and anger may just drain the heck out of you…….my thoughts are with you and hope you are able to find the peace that you seek–and deserve.
